About Us.
What We Do:
As volunteers, we manage and run the Women On Target - Marin NRA program, since 2018. We offer NRA Basic Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun classes. We provide certified CCW training for select California counties, as well as non-resident Arizona, and Utah permits, which are valid in 34 states. In addition, we offer USCCA Certified Home Defense training.
We have diligently screened and selected a few skilled and like-minded instructors to provide staff for our classroom and range.
We welcome students, both beginner and experienced, who desire advancement in firearm knowledge, skills, and understanding in a SAFETY FIRST environment.
Who We Are:
Frontline Training Associates, LLC was formed by Steve Dutra with the help of Michelle Chiles to promote safe, friendly, affordable firearms training in a variety of disciplines. We enjoy a variety of shooting sports, sharing our knowledge, skillset, and attitude of all things related to firearms. We support the second amendment by providing individual, and group firearms Instruction. We support the NRA mission to provide quality firearms education to our community.

Qualfications: USMC Officer Candidate School, Quantico VA and Active Reserve, 1974-1975, 30 years California Highway Patrol, Member of the Fifty Calibers Shooters Association (FCSA) and awarded a Screamer patch for shooting a 5 round, 6" group at 100 yards with a 50 BMG rifle, NRA Certified Firearms Instructor for rifle, pistol, shotgun, muzzle loaders and Concealed Carry, NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, USCCA Certified Instructor for Home Defense, Concealed Carry and Laser Training Programs, Utah DPS Concealed Firearms Instructor, State of California Department of Justice Registered Firearms Instructor and Fingerprint Roller Technician, US Archery Certified Level 2 Archery Instructor, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) National Camp School Certified Shooting Sports Director, Chairperson of Marin Council BSA Shooting Sports Committee, Primary Shooting Sports Instructor for Marin Council BSA, NRA Women on Target-Marin Program Director, Member of Richmond Rod and Gun Club and Coalinga Rifle Club.

United Sportsmen Inc, Diablo Action Pistol Club.
I'm also involved in competitive shooting sports such as the
International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), Steel
Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA), the Glock Sport
Shooting Foundation (GSSF), the United States Practical
Shooting Association (USPSA) as well as acoomplished in the use of semi-automatic and military rifle long-range silhouette
marksmanship.
